Cards for Guys

Ever tried to buy a birthday card for a guy?  Ever ended up just getting a generic card with a dog in a birthday hat on it because the others were either mean or stupid?

At one point, one brother was seeking a job.  After his interviews, he wanted to send a thank you note, but became frustrated with the choices.  Perhaps the stores in his area didn’t feature something masculine enough.  (He is now happily employed and still wants to send thank-you notes.)

For the other brother, I wanted to get him a nice card for his birthday.  Looking over the selection of cards in three different stores, I wondered.  There was the obligatory golf card.  Sure, my brother plays golf and could receive the golf-oriented cards, but he’s also a young man.  The way this card was designed, in particular, felt older.  Other cards didn’t suit.  He doesn’t hunt; He doesn’t hang out in bars.  Is that all that is available in Cards For Him?

I have ideas for Cards For Guys and I will keep you posted.

The human connection!

Hello folks,

I have been busily designing lately.  I’ve gotten out the sketching pencils, the paper, and the watercolors.  My inspiration is Nature!

Sure, I’ll have this piece of art but then what?  Note Cards, of course!  I’ll put my artwork and photography on cards to send!

Many of you are already familiar with my MinnieMoonPress Zazzle store.  The only thing with that is that I don’t know many of my customers!  It’s an anonymous process.

I was feeling a little disconnected about that.  In addition to other approaches with live human beings, I am also in the process of signing up for an Etsy page in addition to the Zazzle page.  (Haven’t yet).  I’ll let you know on this blog when I have.

Or you could sign up for my email list (Where & When – over on the right).  I don’t spam my friends and I won’t spam my customers or my friendly customers or my customer/friends.  You can unsubscribe anytime you want (I won’t be notified when someone unsubscribes).

What I will use the mailing list for is to inform you when I might have a new card design available, if I’m going to be at an event, and if I have a special deal or offer or adventure. (Yes, adventure.)

Why have a mailing list? It actually gives me inspiration.  If I know that I have folks on my mailing list in Arizona (when I’m in the Mid-Atlantic), I might be inspired to look at Southwestern Art and so on.  Who knows what kind of card might come out of that?

Have a great day!
