And it begins…
The fun part of the Days Of Yore: Montgomery County project will be visiting these places, finding out little-known pieces of information, and talking with people about them. I have already spoken with one woman who remembers Glen Echo around the time when it was closed. She suggested I get in touch with some other people who have been involved in historically interesting projects in the local area. Even after she mentioned one idea, it sparked another.
I don’t anticipate finding out any NEW history. There have been plenty of beautiful projects that are historically and thoroughly curated. I draw to show my enjoyment. And it’s just amazing what rich a history we have in our backyard!
